Such controversy can be boiled down to 2 basic issues:

Determining whether gay people should adopt children
Looking at whether gays should be allowed to adopt as a couple

Ridiculous, bigoted laws

For Florida to say that it is okay for a state to pass law against something they "disapprove" of should be against the laws governing separation of church and state. I say that because approving or disapproving of a person's sexual orientation can only be based upon one's own moral beliefs. There is nothing that harms society involved - no harm to another, no violations of other's rights - that's what makes it a moralistic decision. This is just another example of the attempt by certain groups to force their version of morality upon the whole of society.
